Anonymous presets and accessibility settings remain in app-private storage until cleared.
Backup and transfer are disabled. There is no server account or publisher-accessible record.
This policy applies to Quiet Door version 1.0.0, package nz.org.aaauckland.quietdoor, prepared as an offline newcomer-orientation app for AA Auckland Service Centre Incorporated. Privacy questions may be sent to info@aaauckland.org. Publisher authority and control of this contact must be confirmed before release.
Quiet Door does not request Android Internet permission, create an account, connect to a server, or fetch a live meeting schedule. Core text and images are bundled with the app.
We do not collect names, email addresses, phone numbers, account credentials, drinking or sobriety history, recovery status, meeting attendance, location, contacts, photos, audio, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, payment information, free-text notes, or messages.
A user may select preset arrival, meeting-type, privacy, support, pause, and reflection cards, arrange up to three next steps, and change accessibility settings. These selections are not linked to an identity and remain in Android app-private storage on the device.
Local selections provide private orientation and interface preferences. They are not used to diagnose, treat, predict, score, verify sobriety, infer relapse, confirm attendance, establish consent, assess risk, manage a case, determine eligibility, discipline a person, or advertise.
Preset selections and accessibility settings may remain until the user selects Clear local choices, clears Android app storage, or uninstalls. Android cloud backup and device-to-device transfer are disabled.
We do not sell or share personal data. The app contains no advertising, analytics, attribution, social, data-broker, remote-crash-reporting, or behavioural-profiling SDK.
The app requests no dangerous permission and does not use Internet, location, camera, microphone, contacts, nearby devices, notifications, body sensors, phone state, call placement, or shared storage.
The app displays dated public contact and source information as text. It does not automatically call, email, open maps, submit forms, or transmit data to AA Auckland, AA New Zealand, Google, the Privacy Commissioner, or another party.
Quiet Door is designed for adults aged 18 and over. It is not directed to children and contains no child account, social feature, purchase, advertising, public posting, stranger contact, or location-sharing function.
We intentionally avoid recording recovery-related personal information. Users should not treat the screen as confidential against someone with physical device access; use a screen lock, the privacy shutter, and Clear local choices when appropriate.
Technical privacy does not replace human responsibility. Users should not photograph, record, identify, or disclose people encountered in a meeting. The app cannot control screenshots, shoulder surfing, or another person's conduct.
Quiet Door provides general meeting orientation. It does not diagnose alcoholism, provide treatment, detox, counselling, therapy, medication advice, clinical monitoring, relapse prevention, recovery guarantees, or professional medical or psychological advice.
The app does not monitor danger, place calls, alert a contact, provide crisis intervention, or contact emergency services. For immediate danger, use the appropriate local emergency service or another suitable live support channel.
The app does not reproduce the Twelve Steps, protected AA literature, member stories, meeting proceedings, or official marks. Source names and URLs are provided for factual attribution. Current meetings, access conditions, and contact details must be verified through an official source.
Android app-private storage and release signing provide ordinary safeguards, but no software can guarantee absolute security. Users can edit or clear local selections at any time. There is no remote profile, server record, account-access request, or remote deletion process.
The Privacy Act 2020 may provide rights depending on the context. Records held outside this app follow the practices of their respective organisations. Any material change to data collection, connectivity, permissions, SDKs, accounts, or purpose requires an updated app, public policy, Play Data safety review, and effective date.
